• Christopher Williams, M.A.

      • After graduating with a degree in literature and linguistics, I went into language teaching. In this role, I worked in parts of Southeast Asia, the Balkans, and the colder parts of Russia, before swapping the tundra for the hills and forests of northern Bohemia in 2015. Along the way I completed my MA, and I am (finally!) nearing the end of my doctoral studies - both in language education. In 2021, I co-taught the English through stories course at Filipka, an enjoyable opportunity for many reasons but mostly because of the opportunity to work with such witty (and occasionally cheeky) young people. I’m looking forward to building on this experience at EGY.

        At EGY

I will be working with students on developing their conversation and discussion skills, using topics that are relevant to their studies, current affairs, as well as their personal interests. The ultimate aim being to have the students feeling not only more confident but also more competent, when it comes to holding a conversation or engaging in debate.
